The constitutional amendments passed at the ASEA 12th Biennial Convention were submitted to AFSCME International President McEntee for final adoption. President McEntee approved all amendments as submitted with the exception of the Progressive Dues, Article 5, which must be approved by a vote of the membership. The Progressive Dues amendment will be pending the outcome of the election on October 23, 2008.

Updates to the ASEA Constitution following the 2004 Biennial Convention have been approved by AFSCME International President Gerald McEntee.
