Leave donations are a valuable gift to fellow union members who have exhausted their leave balance and are absent from work due to conditions for which sick leave could be used.

The leave donation program is governed by the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. In order to avoid delay or rejection of your leave donation, please observe the following steps for donating leave.

To donate leave, a State of Alaska Leave Request Form must be filled out with the name, social security number, department code, and bargaining unit of the donor. It must also indicate the name and social security number of the recipient and the number of hours donated (minimum donation 4 hours).

For the leave donation to be processed, it must be signed by the donor and presented to ASEA. Donated leave will be credited to the recipient's account in the pay period during which it is processed.

Please submit leave donations to a union office at least two days before the end of a pay period to ensure adequate time for handling.
