Health Contribution Refund Reimbursement in May Print E-mail

Dear GGU Member;

Today I received confirmation from the State that the refund of your health contribution of $58 per month ($29 per pay period) retroactive to July 1, 2004 will be on your May 10th paycheck. If your paycheck is directly deposited into your personal bank account the payment will be deposited on May 11th.

In accordance with our July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2007 the State will also credit one day of personal/annual leave to each GGU member if you were in pay status on July 2, 2004. This day of leave will be deposited to your leave account and reflected on your May 10th pay stub.

You will also see the increased employer contribution of $58 per month ($29 per pay period) and a corresponding decrease in your employee contribution to health insurance on your May 10th paycheck.

For the more than 1000 former members of the GGU who qualify for reimbursement (worked as a GGU member after July 1, 2004) the State will issue checks by the contractually agreed upon date of 45 days from the effective date of the legislation which is May 31st. These former members will also receive payment for the day of leave or have it credited to their leave account if they are still employed by the State in a different bargaining unit or in a non-covered position.

If you will be leaving state service prior to receiving the reimbursement on May 10th please be sure to leave a forwarding address with the State.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
