Dear GGU Member: Article 26. 13 of the Union's Collective Bargaining Agreement with the State of Alaska established an Emergency Leave Bank for GGU members. If you are not currently a participant in the Emergency Leave Bank you may join by contributing 7.5 hours of your personal/annual leave to the Bank during the period beginning November 1, 2005 and ending November 30, 2005. If you wish to join please complete the Emergency Leave Authorization Form and fax or mail the form to the Union headquarters in Anchorage by November 30. You can access the form by going to the Union website at http://www.afscmelocal52.org and clicking on "Leave" in the menu on the left side of the page. If you are currently a member of the Emergency Leave Bank and want to continue you do not need to complete the authorization form. 7.5 hours of your personal/annual leave will automatically be deposited to the Emergency Leave Bank. However, if you are currently a member and do not want to continue participation you need to notify the Union headquarters by letter prior to November 30, 2005. If you fail to formally notify the Union by November 30 that you want to cease participation in the Emergency Leave Bank, 7.5 hours of leave will be deducted from your personal/annual leave account and transferred to the Emergency Leave Bank.
