Budget Review:
Suzan will email the budget information to everyone tomorrow.
March Union Convention
Midnight Sun chapter is sending the Alternate Delegate.
Discussion on whether ASEA pays for the alternate.
Nadine will see Gordon Glaser tomorrow evening and will inquire.
Nadine, Toya, and Laura are Delegates.
Zuzanna is an alternate.
Millie may be an alternate-she'll look into it.
Nadine will ask Melanie about estimates for travel costs.
Survey #2
It was pointed out that we needed to correct our use of the word 'homeopathic'. We've replaced 'homeopathic' with 'alternative'.
Solidarity Update
Zuzanna volunteered to write next article.
WIC Pin Designs
Maryann at the union office designed our current logo.
The old logo would require board approval to use.
Discussed whether we can use the pink ribbon or change it.
Maryann requests a charge of $50.
We need to check on union staff moonlighting. Suzan will ask tomorrow.
WIC Pin Designs continued:
Nadine offers Tigereye to do business with; they only have a 2 week turnaround time and a $40 setup fee.
Do we want ASEA logo? Do we want Rosie the Riveter? They have mouse pads, coffee mugs, tote bags. Do we want ethnic Rosie?
Agreed to discuss this amongst ourselves and email back and forth.
We won't cc Suzan in our discussion.
<Suzan left at 6:05 pm>
New Business
Zuzanna asked where our direction is going.
Nadine gave an inspiring and informational response that minutes could not do justice. In summary, we are the eyes and ears in our community. Hopefully more WIC members will get in more voting positions.
