Eleven members of ASEA/AFSCME Local 52 were selected by Governor Sarah Palin as recipients of the Governor’s Peak Performance Denali Customer Service Award, a special recognition of excellence in service.

The governor made the announcement June 22, recognizing the eleven Dept. of Military and Veterans Affairs employees "for their outstanding service to the public during the Hooper Bay fire."

The GGU employees receiving the Denali Customer Service Award are Alan Cavallo, Wanice Cowles, George Coyle, Claude Denver, Mark Ford, Grant Fry, John (Bruce) Gazaway, Deanna Humphreys, Brent Nichols, Ervin Petty and Patricia Winn.
