Dear Central Region GGU Members:

The ASEA State Executive Board is soliciting statements of interest from members who wish to be considered to fill the vacant Central Region Representative State Executive Board Seat.

The vacancy is being filled in accordance with Article 7.07 of the ASEA Constitution which states, “Vacancies in office shall be filled on a temporary basis by vote of the State Executive Board and the member so elected shall serve out the unexpired term unless the vacancy occurs in a time frame to be filled by the next regularly scheduled election.  In that event, the membership shall then proceed to elect a member to replace the appointed member and to serve out the balance of the unexpired term.”

To be eligible for appointment to the Central Region Seat, an individual must be a member in good standing with the Union and work in the municipality of Anchorage.  Interested members should submit a statement of interest, personal achievements, and qualifications to the ASEA Headquarters in Anchorage by 5:00 P.M. September 21, 2007.
