Dear GGU Member,

As you are aware, the AFSCME International Polling Center conducted a poll of the ASEA membership during the week of April 26, 2004.

The purpose of the poll was to determine our members' position on the contract proposals that have been presented by the state to the union’s Contract Negotiating Committee during the current negotiations.

The polling center attempted to contact all members who had listed their home phone number on our database. As in any poll they were not able to make contact with all members. However, the director of the center informed me that they made contact with a higher percentage of our members than is normal when conducting this type of poll.

The results of the poll show strong membership support for the Contract Negotiating Committee in working to get a fair contract for you.
