Adult Probation Officers Vote to Stay with ASEA Print E-mail
Monday, 30 June 2008

The Alaska Labor Relations Agency (ALRA) has announced that a majority of adult probation officers participating in the election to select a bargaining representative have chosen to stay with ASEA.

Of the 85 valid ballots counted, 43 were cast in favor of ASEA/AFSCME Local 52.

The recent election was a runoff from an earlier election in which neither ASEA nor the challenger, the Alaska Correctional Officers Association (ACOA), had a majority.

ASEA has represented adult probation officers for many years and the outcome of the election means ASEA will continue to be the group's exclusive representative.
