Juneau Chapter members, fellow state employees and retirees joined the ASEA Contract Negotiating Committee on March 3 in Juneau to rally for a fair contract. Some one hundred activists braved inclement weather to express support for wages, benefits and working conditions that strengthen the services of state government, as well as the families of the employees who provide them.

Senator Hollis French joined ASEA Business Manager Jim Duncan in addressing the crowd assembled on the steps of the State Office Building, across the street from the capital. Attendees spoke up for continued support of their bargaining team as the union and the state enter into mediation. In an effort to raise awareness statewide, all ASEA members were urged to wear green on the day of the rally.
