2010 Anchorage Chapter Tuition Reimbursement Program Announced |

You may be eligible to receive up to $500.00 of tuition and fees reimbursement from the Anchorage Chapter Member Tuition Reimbursement Program. Any Anchorage chapter member in good standing, meeting the requirements listed below, may apply.
Eligibility:
- Any ASEA member of the Anchorage Chapter in good standing. Please call the union office at 907-277-5200 to verify your status prior to applying.
- Member is enrolled in a program at an accredited institution, and has completed coursework in the pursuit of a degree or certificate, that:
- Improves your present employment or potential job advancement with the State of Alaska;
- Was completed at any time between July 1, 2009 and May 15, 2010;
- Received a passing grade of C (2.0) or better;
- Cannot be Continuing Professional Education/Units (CPE)(CPU), coursework for professional licensing, or courses from an unaccredited institution; and
- Was not reimbursed by your employer or paid by scholarship
Documents to submit (there is no application form):
- A typed statement that includes the following information:
- Name, home address, home & work phone numbers;
- Your present job title and worksite; o The degree you are currently enrolled in and pursuing and the coursework you have taken;
- A brief paragraph explaining how the degree/certificate will improve your present job or qualify you for job advancement.
- A copy of your transcripts (student copy ok)
- Receipts or an account summary from the college/university/institution showing amount paid for tuition and fees.
Submit all the documents together by close of business June 11, 2010 to:

Faxes will not be accepted.
Awards will be pro-rated based on GPA, course load and funds available. You will be notified of your award in early July and awards will be presented at an Anchorage Union Chapter event. The Committee's decision is final.
