Your ASEA Fairbanks North Star Borough Chapter (FNSB) is holding an election for five (5) Chapter Executive Board officers, one (1) Trustee position, and three (3) Contract Negotiating Team positions. All FNSB members in good standing are eligible to participate and vote. The Notice of Nominations and Election form is on the ASEA website at:

The chapter meeting for nominations and election will be held on September 2, 2020 beginning at 12:00 pm using the virtual ZOOM platform. You will need to register in advance of the meeting. Please check your email for the link or contact MaryAnnG@afscmelocal52.org if you need assistance.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Nominations will be accepted using the Notice of Nominations and Election form through September 2, 2020, or ‘in person’ from the floor at the virtual meeting on September 2, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 12:30 pm.
The election will be held following the close of nominations. Members in good standing will cast their vote anonymously using the virtual ZOOM platform.

Dear ASEA FNSB Members,
The Contract Negotiating Committee (CNC) has completed nearly 20 bargaining sessions with the FNSB since September 2023. Unfortunately, the FNSB has failed to move in any significant or meaningful way in several months. Both parties have exchanged our “last best and final” offers. We did not reach a tentative agreement. Instead, we informed FNSB negotiators that we would meet with our membership to discuss the Borough’s final proposal.
Please join us for this critical update, where we will provide an more in-depth overview of where we stand now.

Hello Members,
We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday, April 23 at 12:00pm at the Centennial Center in Pioneer Park. We will be serving a baked potato bar with all the fixings including salad, drink and dessert.
This is the annual elections meeting as required in our chapter bylaws. We will be electing all positions, including President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and an at-large board seat, along with one trustee. We do need candidates if you are interested in helping to guide our chapter actions. We will also give updates on new happenings including the addition of Juneteenth as a borough paid holiday, charitable donations and the member scholarship program.
Oh, yes, and there will also be door prizes! We have several gift cards of amounts from $50 to $500, and look forward to giving those out. Must be present to win!
I appreciate all of you, and look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.
