Dear ASEA Bush Region Member,

The ASEA State Executive Board is soliciting statements of interest from members who wish to be considered to fill the Bush Region Representative seat on the ASEA State Executive Board.    
 
The vacancy is being filled in accordance with Article 7.07 of the ASEA Constitution which states, “Vacancies in office shall be filled on a temporary basis by vote of the State Executive Board and the member so elected shall serve out the unexpired term unless the vacancy occurs in a time frame to be filled by the next regularly scheduled election.  In that event, the membership shall then proceed to elect a member to replace the elected member and to serve out the balance of the unexpired term”. The member elected by the State E-Board to fill the Bush Region Representative seat will serve until the next regularly scheduled election in March 2021.
 
To be eligible to serve in the Bush Region Representative seat on the State Executive Board seat you must be employed in the Bush Region* and must be a member in good standing with the Union for at least one year.

*ASEA Bush Region (As defined in ASEA Constitution Appendix A)—means members in all areas that are not on the road system and not included in the Northern Region, the Central Region, and the Southeast Region or the Rural Region. Bush includes Ketchikan, Cordova, Petersburg, Sitka, Bethel, Dillingham, Nome, Kodiak/Aleutians and future new chapters established within the scope for the Bush Region guidelines.
