The ASEA State Executive Board is soliciting statements of interest from members holding a position in a professional classification who wish to be considered to fill the vacant Professional Representative seat on the ASEA State Executive Board.     
The vacancy is being filled in accordance with Article 7.07 of the ASEA Constitution which states, “Vacancies in office shall be filled on a temporary basis by vote of the State Executive Board and the member so elected shall serve out the unexpired term unless the vacancy occurs in a time frame to be filled by the next regularly scheduled election.  In that event, the membership shall then proceed to elect a member to replace the elected member and to serve out the balance of the unexpired term”.  The member elected by the State E-Board to fill the Professional Representative seat will serve until the next regularly scheduled election in March 2022.
To be eligible to serve in the Professional Representative seat on the State Executive Board seat you must be working in a professional position as defined by the State’s classification system* and must be a member in good standing with the Union for at least one year.
