2022 Virtual Convention Readiness Pre-Check

The 2022 ASEA 18th Biennial Convention will be a virtual convention using the Zoom videoconferencing platform. 

In anticipation of this first ASEA virtual conference, we would like to perform a technology pre-check with all attendees. Please fill out the form below to assess your readiness and to help ASEA anticipate and avoid problems that would prevent you from participating to the fullest during the convention.

Basic Guidelines

  1. ASEA requests that each delegate connect from their own unique device. This simpifies roll calls, voting, and other aspects of participation.
  2. The device you use will determine how easily you can follow the agenda, vote on motions, and contribute to the convention. Speakers or headphone, microphone, and camera are enouraged.
  3. Internet access is necessary, either by broadband (DSL, cable, etc.), commercial WiFi, or cell service data plans. Bear in mind that if your Internet access is metered, subject to a quota, or capped after maximum data use, you may incur extra expenses to participate in the virtual convention.
  4. Installing the Zoom app on your computer, tablet, or phone is essential. The Zoom app will be the instrument for voting on convention business. Updates to the Zoom app are released regularly, installing the most recent version ahead of the convention is highly recommended.

Equipment

Although a workstation with a camera and speakers or a typical laptop is recommended to participate, you can join with other devices.
