We’re excited to announce that ASEA and AFSCME are offering free Health & Safety trainings and workshop sessions from May 11 through May 13.

  1. First Aid/ CPR/ AED
    Register:        8:00 AM— 11:00 AM
    This course is delivered in a blended learning format. The online portion is accessible via mobile, desktop, or tablet— must be completed before attending the in-person, instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion of both components, participants will receive a valid two-year digital certificate in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. *Limited to 12 participants
  2. Active Violence Immediate Response Training (AVIRT- Certified)
    Register:        8:30 AM— 11:30 AM
    Over the past 15 years, incidents of workplace violence have been on the rise. Frontline workers, in particular, face unique risks and challenges as they provide vital public services. This course will teach participants how to recognize warning signs, respond quickly during an active shooter situation, and control bleeding in life-threatening situations. *Limited to 15 participants
  3. Workplace Bullying & Harassment
    Register:        4:00 PM— 6:00 PM
    The objective of this course is to help participants recognize, prevent, and respond to workplace bullying and harassment.
