ASEA Political Action Committee Annual Contribution Form

The ASEA PAC is open to all members of ASEA, union retirees, and friends of the PAC. The committee is self-governing and is not a committee under the jurisdiction of the union.

logo for pac formAs such, the ASEA PAC operates with voluntary contributions from employees in bargaining units represented by ASEA, union retirees, and friends of the PAC – no member dues are used.  All ASEA PAC contributors are eligible for appointment to the ASEA PAC Board of Directors.

If you are represented by ASEA, the simplest way to join the ASEA PAC is to authorize a voluntary regular deduction from your paycheck using the form on this page. 

If you are an ASEA retiree or friend of ASEA PAC, an annual contribution can be made using the form below. The minimum annual contribution is $50.00 (approximately the same as the minimum $2.00 per paycheck for voluntary payroll deductions). While state law does not limit the maximum contribution by an individual to a political action committee, the form allows a $500 maximum annual contribution to the ASEA PAC. About The PAC

The maximum contribution amount the PAC may accept from an individual is not regulated by state law. Contributions are not tax deductible.

  1. I understand that this contribution may be used for political purposes.
  2. I understand my contribution is voluntary and not required as a condition of union membership or employment.
  3. I understand that I may revoke authorization at any time and deductions will end within 30 days by submitting a revocation form or providing written notice to the Union.
  4. I understand my contribution remains in Alaska and by law cannot be used for campaigns outside of Alaska.
  5. I understand my contribution makes me eligible to serve as a PAC Director with a voice and a vote in PAC decisions.

Your Voluntary ASEA PAC Contribution

ASEA member dues cannot be used for political contributions. Union members can still be involved in supporting candidates and campaigns by authorizing an additional and voluntary deduction from their paycheck or making a one-time annual contribution that is transferred to the ASEA Political Action Committee. Contributions to the ASEA PAC stay in Alaska are used solely for state and municipal races.

The minimum amount for an annual contribution is $50.00 (approximately the same as the $2.00 per paycheck minimum for voluntary payroll deductions). Under current state law, there is no limit to the maximum contribution by an individual to a political action committee. The form allows up to $500 for ASEA PAC one-time contributions. Contributions are completely voluntary and there is no favor and no disadvantage based on amount or decision to contribute.
