Each delegate must indicate a preference for participation in convention committees. It is the delegate's responsibility to submit this form before 5:00 p.m. on February 4, 2026. A confirmation of your committee preferences will be sent to the email address entered below.

Budget Committee: Reviews the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget submitted by the State Executive Board; may amend. Through a report to the Convention by the State Treasurer, the proposed budget is then presented to the Delegation for adoption.

Class I Committee: To review, discuss, make recommendations on submitted convention resolutions, generate and submit, through the Resolutions Committee to the Convention Floor, proposed resolutions addressing their unique issues of Class I GGU employees. The Chair of the Committee, or designee, will present a report to the Convention delegation during the Plenary Session.

Constitutional Amendments Committee: Reviews all proposed constitutional amendments submitted from members, chapters and ASEA Committees. Considers recommendations of the State Executive Board; may amend or consolidate with other like proposed constitutional amendments that have been submitted. Through a report to the Convention during the Business Session, the Committee Chair, or designee, makes a recommendation to the Delegation to adopt or to not adopt.

Credentials Committee: Receives all Delegate/Alternate Credentials through Registration; reviews the credentials for validity; rules on matters of regular/irregular credentials received inside/outside of timelines, good standing. The Chair of the Committee, or designee, will present a report to the Convention delegation during the Plenary Session to seat the Regular Delegates. Immediately following the seating of the Regular Delegates, the Chair of the Committee, or designee, will present a second report to the Convention delegation during the Plenary Session to seat the Irregular Delegates.

Legislative Committee: To review, discuss and make recommendations on submitted convention resolutions, generate and submit, through the Resolutions Committee to the Convention Floor, proposed resolutions that form and address the ASEA legislative agenda and related political issues. The Chair of the Committee, or designee, will present a report to the Convention delegation during the Plenary Session.

Next Wave Committee: To review, discuss and make recommendations on submitted convention resolutions, generate and submit, through the Resolutions Committee to the Convention Floor, proposed resolutions addressing their unique issues of employees 40 years of age and younger. The Chair of the Committee, or designee, will present a report to the Convention delegation during the Plenary Session.

Resolutions Committee: Receives all proposed resolutions from members, chapters, ASEA Committees and Convention Committees.  Reviews the proposed resolutions and considers recommendations of the State Executive Board; may amend or consolidate with other like proposed resolutions that have been submitted. Through a report to the Convention during the Business Session, the Chair of the Committee, or designee, makes a recommendation to the Delegation to adopt or to not adopt.

Rules Committee: Drafts the proposed Rules of the Convention. Through a report to the Convention, the Chair of the Committee, or designee, will offer the proposed Rules of the Convention to the Delegation for adoption during the Business Session.

Rural/Bush Committee: To review, discuss and make recommendations on submitted convention resolutions, generate and submit, through the Resolutions Committee to the Convention Floor, proposed resolutions that address issues affecting both on-road and off-road Rural/Bush Chapters. The Chair of the Committee, or designee, will present a report to the Convention delegation during the Plenary Session.

Sergeant-At-Arms Committee: As Sergeant-at-Arms, the committee will serve as security for the Floor, assuring only credentialed Delegates are on the Floor, order is maintained, and in closed session (a roll call vote) will secure the doors to the meeting room, barring the admittance or the leaving of all persons during that period of time.

Tellers Committee: As Tellers, the committee will tally the vote count on all house votes (open session) and roll call votes (closed session), calculate the results and maintain a tally record on all motions.

Women’s Committee: To review, discuss and make recommendations on submitted convention resolutions, generate and submit, through the Resolutions Committee to the Convention Floor, proposed resolutions that address women’s issues. The Chair of the Committee, or designee, will present a report to the Convention delegation during the Plenary Session.
