The ASEA Steward programs follows the principles set forth in the ASEA/AFSCME Local 52 Constitution and the AFSCME Constitution, especially regarding the rights of all members to due process and just cause. ASEA Stewards are trained and prepared to perform their duties in a responsible, knowledgeable, and effective manner. All stewards are expected to fulfill their “duty of fair representation” to each and every member, without exception.
