ASEA Virtual PEL Conference

ASEA/AFSCME Local 52 Political Education Leadership (PEL) Conference will be virtual this year on March 3 & 4, 2021 (8:30 am– 3:30 pm on Mar 3 and 8:30 am - 2:30 pm on Mar 4). At the PEL conference, you will learn about the legislative landscape and hear from legislators and speakers that will address items such as the split of DHSS, Defined Benefit Retirement System, closure of DMV offices around the state, possible permanent telework, outsourcing of State services State Budget cuts which may result in the loss of State services and State jobs.  You will also be given the opportunity to meet with your legislators - virtually.

This conference is usually held in Juneau every odd-numbered year where participants can visit the state capitol and meet with their legislators. This year, we are bringing the conference to you. All you need is an internet connection and the time to attend. Your time loss from work to attend the PEL Conference will be covered by ASEA business leave which means your leave time will be reimbursed.
