July 1 marks the first day of the recently negotiated 2025-2028 Collective Bargaining Agreement between ASEA and the State covering GGU positions.
GGU employees will see wage increase in the first full pay period of July (July 18, 2025).
Significant monetary features include a 3% cost of living adjustment (COLA) applied to GGU wages on July 1, 2025, which will be further increased 3% on July 1, 2026, and 5% on July 1, 2027.
For employees holding permanent fulltime positions, a negotiated lump sum payment of $2,500 is scheduled for disbursement in the first full pay period of July. This payment will appear on your regular bi-weekly paycheck in order to avoid higher tax withholdings. A second lump sum payment of $2,000 will occur a year from now on July 1, 2026, and will be distributed similarly to employees holding full time positions.

This is a great time to remind all employees to diligently check your paystubs to ensure you are being paid the correct amount and to promptly notify ASEA of any pay problems.
I hope you are enjoying your summer months, staying safe, and practicing fire prevention and fire safety.
In solidarity,
